My most Amazing Job!!
By Troy Summers, a caregiver of his mother.
Never thought about being the care taker for my parents at the end of their lives. For the last 30 year before my parents got ill I had worked in the construction field. My father Lloyd Summers had a heart attack May 2010 and passed away 6 weeks later. He was my best friend and hero, there was no one like him. I took a step in faith when my parents got ill and quit my job to take care of them. I got to spend every waking moment with my dad for the last 6 weeks and would not trade that for anything. It was a wonderful time because we got to talk about a lot of things we never shared before. Now he is in a much better place with no pain and suffering. I Love You Dad! For the last 3 years I’ve been taking care of my mother. She is now in end stage of life and thanks to Hospice and great nurses like Marygrace that help make things at home run normally. You just have to have faith in the Lord that everything will work out somehow. I never thought I would be doing what I do to take care of my mother. To my great parents Lloyd and Joan Summers… I Will Love You Forever!! MAY GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU!! Troy Summers
